Utilizing Innovative Networks to Advance Building Efficiency through Codes

This workshop will explain how the Alliance to Save Energy works to bring about significant and sustainable efficiency improvements, and focus in on its support of US building energy codes through its program, the Building Codes Assistance Project (BCAP). BCAP will provide a model for regional networks around the world to facilitate communication and information-sharing in an effort to advance energy codes and their implementation.

Organized by the Alliance to Save Energy and the Efficiency Valuation Organization, this workshop will review current industry guidance on the arts and sciences of measuring energy savings, and discuss what needs further definition for the broad range of savings reporting purposes, including carbon trading.

The Green Grid and Energy Efficient Performance of Global Data Centers

This session will provide attendees with an overview of The Green Grid's goals and objectives for developing meaningful, platform-neutral standards, measurement methods, processes and new technologies to improve the energy efficient performance of global data centers. The Green Grid will also discuss information announced at the Spring Technical Forum, including such content as The Green Grid Data Center Design Guide, Proxies for Estimating Data Center Productivity, PUE Scalability and Using Virtualization To Improve Data Center Energy Efficiency. Attendees will receive information on assessing their data center energy usage and best practices and technologies which can help to improve their energy efficiency.
