EE Global 2009:a New Benchmark for the Energy Efficiency Community

Whether you joined us in Paris or were kept abreast remotely via our daily newsletter, you would know that EE Global 2009 was a must-attend event for the energy efficiency community.

As the event organizer and host, the Alliance would like to thank the 600 exhibitors, speakers, media and attendees from over 30 countries who joined us in Paris for three days of historic dialogue.

Press Conference with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development

The World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) today launched the release of their latest report in a series, “Transforming the Market: Energy Efficiency in Buildings”. Supported by United Technologies and Lafarge, this report looks at the potential of energy efficiency to reduce emissions in buildings.

Four new speakers join the agenda at EE Global 2009

Suresh Prabhu, Member of Parliament, Former Union Minister for Power of India and the Honorable Lisa Raitt, Minister Natural Resources of Canada, will participate in the April 27 Opening Plenary session Energy Efficiency Policy Strategies from Around the World. Keynoting at the April 29 Plenary Awards Ceremony, Working Together – A Look at International Implementation Partnerships, is Fiona Harvey, Environment Correspondent at the Financial Times. And Jean-Louis Borloo, French Minister for Ecology and Sustainable Planning Development, will speak on the April 29 Plenary session entitled What is the Real Potential for Energy Efficiency? – Contrasting Perspectives.
