Christopher B. Curtis joined the Schneider Electric’s North American Operating Division in June 1993 as director, industrial marketing. In 1995, he was promoted to vice president, Mid-Atlantic sales region. Chris became director, OEM marketing, in 1996. Chris was named vice president, marketing, for the North American Operating Division in 1998. In 2002, Chris traveled north to his birthplace of Toronto to become president of Schneider Electric Canada. In 2003, after a short but effective tenure in Canada, he returned to the United States to serve as senior vice president, sales and services. In June 2006, Chris assumed the position of president, Schneider Electric USA. Chris was named president and CEO of the North American Operating Division in 2008, assuming responsibility for all North American operations as well as became a member of Schneider Electric’s Executive Committee. In the fall of 2008, Chris added the responsibility of the Buildings and Renewable Energy activity globally to his duties.

George David joined UTC’s Otis subsidiary in 1975 and became its President in 1986. David was elected UTC’s President in 1992 and Chief Executive Officer in 1994. In 1997, he was elected Chairman of the Board. He recently retired as Chairman of United Technologies Corporation (UTC). David received his B.A. from Harvard and M.B.A. from the University of Virginia. He is a board member of BP, a member of The Business Council, and Vice Chairman of the Peterson Institute for International Economics. He has chaired the boards of the Graduate Business School at the University of Virginia, the National Minority Supplier Development Council, the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council, the TransAtlantic Business Dialogue, and the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art. David was awarded the Order of Friendship from the Russian Federation in 1999, and in May 2002 France named him to its Legion of Honor.

Robert Dixon

Currently serving as senior vice president and global head of efficiency & sustainability at Siemens Industry, Inc. Building Technologies Division (SBT), Dixon leads all strategic global initiatives on building efficiency and sustainability including strategic planning, operations, product/solution development, program implementation, business development, and mergers and acquisitions. Bob is the first (and currently only) designated senior principle expert for the 39,000 employee Building Technologies division. Bob is a past president of the National Association of Energy Service Companies (NAESCO), and currently serves as industry first vice chair for the Alliance to Save Energy. He is the industry member on the Buildings and Appliances Task Force under the Asia-Pacific Partnership on Clean Development and Climate, and leads SBT’s strategic global partnership with the Clinton Climate Initiatives. Bob earned his B.S. in mechanical engineering from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California, and is a graduate of the Minnesota Executive Program at the University of Minnesota.

Calvin Dooley

Cal Dooley is the President and CEO of the American Chemistry Council (ACC), a position he began in September 2008. As ACC president, Dooley will continue to redefine and strengthen the chemistry industry by continuing member growth, advancing advocacy at the global, federal and state levels and keeping ACC the “gold standard” among trade associations. Prior to joining ACC, Mr. Dooley served as President and CEO of the Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA). He took over leadership of GMA after serving as President and CEO of the Food Products Association (FPA), which merged with GMA in January 2007. Mr. Dooley represented the 20th District of California as a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1991 to 2004. Mr. Dooley was a founder of the New Democrat Coalition, an organization of centrist, pro-growth Members of Congress dedicated to finding bipartisan solutions to our nation’s problems.

Dave Norris

Dave Norris was elected to Charlottesville City Council in 2006 on a platform promoting environmental sustainability, affordable housing, youth development and economic opportunity. He has been Mayor of the City since January of 2008. Dave authored a Clean Energy Resolution that passed unanimously at City Council in December 2007, which set in motion a series of initiatives that have brought the City statewide and even national attention for its efforts to promote energy conservation, energy efficiency and renewable energy. One of those initiatives is the new City-County Local Energy Alliance Program (LEAP), which aims to retrofit thousands of local homes and businesses in the coming decade to reduce utility bills, slash carbon emissions and promote renewable energy. Dave was recently elected Vice Chair of the LEAP Board of Directors. In his "day job," Dave is the CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Central Blue Ridge.

James Rogers became chairman, president and CEO of Duke Energy in 2007, having served as chairman and CEO of Cinergy since 1994 and PSI Energy since 1988. He chairs the Institute for Electric Efficiency and the Edison Foundation, and serves as co-chair of the National Action Plan for Energy Efficiency and the Alliance to Save Energy. He is a director of Cigna Corp. and Applied Materials Inc. He serves on the boards and Executive Committees of the Nuclear Energy Institute and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development. He is a board member of the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations and Business Roundtable and he is a member of the Honorary Committee of the Joint U.S.-China Collaboration on Clean Energy. Newsweek named him to The Global Elite list, "The 50 Most Powerful People in the World in 2008.”

David T. Szczupak

David T. Szczupak joined Whirlpool Corporation as executive vice president, Global Product Organization in July 2008. He provides overall global leadership for the company’s product businesses and strategic sourcing. Prior to joining the company, Szczupak spent 25 years in the automotive industry in leadership roles in both Engineering and Manufacturing. Szczupak has a master’s degree in automotive engineering from Cranfield University in the United Kingdom.
