MarketPlace of Ideas – EE Global Poster Sessions

The Alliance to Save Energy invites individuals and organizations to participate in the EE Global Marketplace of Ideas. This interactive forum will provide participants with the opportunity to share their initiatives through informal dialogue with hundreds of executive-level leaders, from all end-use sectors, expected to participate in EE Global on May 10-12 in Washington, DC.

Returning to the epicenter of U.S. energy and climate policy, the 2010 event will expand on the patented EE Global experience, with greater dialogue and more opportunities to discover the ideas, intersections and solutions for growing energy-efficient economies.

Organized like a traditional poster session, the EE Global Marketplace of Ideas will expand upon an already impressive agenda, allowing a more robust group of experts the ability to showcase their best practices and strategies for energy efficiency deployment. The EE Global Marketplace of Ideas will be located within this year’s unique Solutions Showcase, which will take a fresh approach to the traditional exposition floor.

The Alliance will be accepting applications in the following end-use sectors:

  • Buildings
  • Industry & Utilities
  • Transportation & Urban Planning
  • Consumer & End-Use
  • Cross-Cutting

Who Should Apply?
Professionals working on energy efficiency policies, technologies, market transformation and financing approaches. You must be at least 18 years of age to apply at the time the proposal is submitted.

How to Apply?
Each person or organization must submit an online application, which includes a one (1)-page proposal briefly summarizing a policy & regulation, technology, workforce training & education, market transformation, or finance idea within an aforementioned end-use sector and its successes to date. In addition to the summary, proposals must include individual/organization background information. All proposals must be submitted in English. Proposals must be received no later than Monday, April 19, 2010. Participants will be announced no later than Friday, April 23, 2010, and will receive the opportunity to present their poster at EE Global 2010 and register at a reduced rate of $400. NOTE: Please keep any proposal attachments under 2 MB. If you need to submit a larger file, please send it directly with your application information to mberman@ase.org.

How to Present?
Participants will be provided with a 7 1/2-foot (wide) x 3 3/4-foot (high) space in which to display a poster and/or printed materials. At least one person must be available to present at EE Global. Ideas may include policy mechanisms, demonstrable energy efficiency technologies, energy efficiency financing plans, or market transformation solutions. The posters will be displayed in the Solutions Showcase the entire time it remains open.

Participants are expected to accompany their poster during the Welcome Reception on Monday, May 10, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm and are encouraged to also accompany their posters during dedicated catering functions. The hours of those will be provided with additional details upon acceptance of proposals.
