Industry consumes a majority of the world’s energy, and therefore is one of the largest contributors to CO2 emissions worldwide. For many industries, energy accounts for one of the highest costs, so reduced energy consumption drives the bottom-line. This session will explore the challenges to large-scale industrial energy efficiency and address these challenges by providing replicable examples of industrial energy-efficiency projects from around the world that are increasing competitiveness and reducing carbon emissions. Moderated by: Steve Kukoda, Executive Director, International Copper Association. Speakers: Dr. Carolyn Snyder, Director, Climate Protection Partnerships Division, U.S. EPA.
