Joyce Henry is the Director General of the Office of Energy Efficiency at Natural Resources Canada. The Office of Energy Efficiency provides policy advice to the Minister of Natural Resources to optimize energy use in Canada and delivers programs, information, guidance, and regulations to support Canadians, businesses, industry, and the transportation sector to effectively reduce energy use.
Ms. Henry has worked in a number of other federal government ministries, holding progressively more senior positions at Transport Canada, the Privy Council Office, and at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.
Ms. Henry has a Bachelor of Journalism degree with combined Honours in Political Science. She enjoys sport and reading. Previously an international level rugby referee, Ms. Henry has refereed numerous women’s international matches, including at three World Cups, and refereed both men and women at the most senior match levels in Canada and the United States.
