Maureen’s role focuses on using the platform of sustainability to create business growth for 3M and for our customers, and for the betterment of our communities in which we work and live. It is an exciting area that involves collaboration with product development teams, leadership teams, and many other internal and external stakeholders.
Her 3M career began in the laboratory as a technical service engineer. Those early experiences to help customers use 3M products, created a passion to always be connected to the customer in future roles. 3M’s diversity of businesses and technologies provided the opportunity for her to hold roles in product marketing, business development, sales management, six sigma, strategic planning, commercialization leadership and general management over her career.
Maureen holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, and an MBA from the University of Minnesota. She is leading the “Science for Climate” sustainability pillar for 3M at the enterprise level. She serves in an advisory role for 3M WLF (Women’s Leadership Forum, supporting leadership development). She is the Inclusion Champion for Safety & Industrial Business Group, and is on the CEO Inclusion Council, leading efforts for inclusion of all employees. Maureen is a member of The Raptor Center Advisory Board at the University of Minnesota, and she is the VP of the SkillsUSA Board of Directors – bridging the applied principles of STEM to enhance career & technical education. In addition to SkillsUSA, she is the point person working with WorldSkills and NC3 (National Coalition of Certification Center) programs for 3M. She is also a member of the Sustainability Growth Coalition, and Past-President of the University of Illinois Mom’s Association.
